Public Policy Hearing at the Detroit Sportsmen's Congress
April 2005

The second of four Public Policy Hearings with State Sen. Alan Cropsey at the Detroit Sportsmen's Congress. As an MCRGO Director and Chair of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee to which all firearm issues are referred, MCRGO is pleased to announce Senator Alan Cropsey's series of four public policy hearings to be held around the state of Michigan during the spring of 2005. Beginning with his battle for passage of CPL legislation, Senator Cropsey serves as the leading voice for Michigan's responsible firearm owners. Part of the discussion package included a push for the expansion of protections for Michigan gunowners utilizing force when necessary to protect themselves and their loved ones. Also discused was the recently passed Florida Bill that allows citizens to defend themselves without fear of prosecution; allowing concealed weapons in public areas, such as schools, hospitals and churches, as well as other issues that will give citizens a fascinating glimpse into how MCRGO's membership is continuing to expand and protect your rights to Keep and Carry.
