Starting in 1978, Senator Cropsey has over 16 years of experience serving in the House and Senate, and is currently chair of the Judiciary Committee, a member of the Appropriations Committee and the Subcommittees of Judiciary and Corrections; K-12 Education and School Aid; Retirement; and Capital Outlay. When not serving as a legislator, he has been in private law practice. Senator Cropsey lives with his wife Erika in DeWitt, Michigan, and has two sons serving in the Marine Corps, and another son and a daughter attending college.
