| State Representative Tom Casperson is serving his second term in the Michigan House, representing residents of Delta, Dickinson and Menominee counties. Casperson serves as the chair of the House Conservation, Forestry and Outdoor Recreation Committee and is a member of the Agriculture and Resource Management, Transportation, and the Transportation Appropriations Committees. Before being elected, Casperson worked in his family's log trucking business for 27 years, including 12 years as owner and operator of Casperson and Son Trucking. Casperson has served on the Michigan Association of Timbermen board of directors, as president of the Michigan Professional Log Truck Council, on the transportation committee of the Michigan Association of Timbermen and the legislative committee of the Timber Producers Association. He also has served for nine years on the Board of the Escanaba New Life Assembly of God. Casperson is a member of the National Rifle Association and the National Federation of Independent Business. He resides in Escanaba with his wife, Diane and their four children. |
