Currently, these states (shaded green) will recognize your Michigan CPL:
Vermont does not require carry permits by residents or non residents.

National Reciprocity Bills to watch: H.R. 5782, The Secure Access to Firearms Enhancement (SAFE) Act of 2008.
H.R. 5782 would amend chapter 44 of title 18, United States Code, to provide for reciprocity in regard to the manner in which nonresidents of a State may carry certain concealed firearms in that State.
At present, States shaded in blue will not honor the Michigan CPL. We
at MCRGO recommend that any time you travel to or through
another state, you contact that state’s Attorney General
and ascertain whether or not they’ll honor your permit
and find out what if any additional restrictions that
state imposes. Remember: when you carry in another state,
you still have to recognize their rules and their off-limits
areas just as people from other states have to do when
they come here.
