I am a NRA Range Safety Officer and a NRA Certified Instructor. My Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL / CCW) Training meets Michigan CPL requirements and is accepted by all gun boards. A CPL refresher class is also available. My one day CPL course is taught at my private range in Lapeer County. Private or group instruction and flexible scheduling is available. I am close enough to also serve applicants from Oakland, Macomb, Genesee, St. Clair, and Sanilac, Counties. I also teach NRA Basic Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Home Firearm Safety, and Personal Protection in the Home Courses, and NRA First Step Courses for beginners. NRA fully accredited course materials are used. |

I am a NRA certified instructor, former reserve sheriff deputy for Allegan county, and have practiced Martial Arts in one form or another for over 30 years (I broke my first board at 10 years old). I am also a federally licensed firearms dealer. I teach the following NRA classes: First Steps, Basic Pistol, and Personal Protection in the Home. I also teach the following NON-NRA courses: 2 day tactical handgun, 2 day tactical shotgun, 2 day tactical rifle, 2 day long range rifle, 2 day un-armed combat, 2 day blade fighting (includes stick fighting), 2 day repelling, and 2 day advanced tactical/dynamic entry. Coming soon: 2 day sub machine gun. My CCW students are given a one year membership to Lee township sportsman's club where they can practice the techniques they learn in class. If they are safe and keep with it they are invited back to work as a range officer. If they come for the legal part of the classes they work as a RO they qualify for renewal of their CCW. |

I am the point of contact for the Educational Assistance Group, Inc, also doing business as michiganccwclass.com, an organization to assist individuals and groups in obtaining CPL / CCW through providing the State of Michigan mandated 8 hour training course. All of our instructors are Law Enforcement Officers with over 20 years of firearms training experience each. All have served on Special Operations Teams and have many years training police academy recruits in basic firearms programs. In addition to being NRA certified instructors, our instructors are also MCOLES Certified. We believe we provide the best training at the least expensive cost. Our reason for doing so is that we truly believe in the CPL Program. Our one day class is held on Saturdays. The cost of our class is $80.00 and everything needed for this class is provided by us. The only thing you need to bring is clothing appropriate for the weather outdoors. The shooting of handguns is required in this class. We will provide the handguns, ammunition (22 caliber pistols), and safety equipment. If you prefer to shoot your own weapon, you will need approximately 50 rounds of ammunition. We not only provide CPL / CCW Classes in Lansing, but we will hold a class throughout any part of Michigan. |
