I am a NRA Range Safety Officer and a NRA Certified Instructor. My Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL / CCW) Training meets Michigan CPL requirements and is accepted by all gun boards. I am a NRA certified instructor, former reserve sheriff deputy for Allegan county, and have practiced Martial Arts in one form or another for over 30 years (I broke my first board at 10 years old). I am also a federally licensed firearms dealer. I teach the following NRA classes: First Steps, Basic Pistol, and Personal Protection in the Home. I also teach the following NON-NRA courses: 2 day tactical handgun, 2 day tactical shotgun, 2 day tactical rifle, 2 day long range rifle, 2 day un-armed combat, 2 day blade fighting (includes stick fighting), 2 day repelling, and 2 day advanced tactical/dynamic entry. Coming soon: 2 day sub machine gun. My CCW students are given a one year membership to Lee township sportsman's club where they can practice the techniques they learn in class. If they are safe and keep with it they are invited back to work as a range officer. If they come for the legal part of the classes they work as a RO they qualify for renewal of their CCW. |

I am a retired law enforcement officer, having served 28 years as a Special Agent with the federal government. Two of my last assignments included the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and the United States Attorney’s Anti-Terrorism Advisory Committee. I am trained and certified by the United States Secret Service as a firearms instructor, and worked in that capacity for almost 10 years. I also received advanced rifle training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, and until my retirement served as my agency’s “sniper” in the State of Michigan. I also bear the title of United States Marine. In 2009 I became an NRA Certified Instructor of Basic Pistol, Home Firearm Safety, and Personal Protection in the Home. My Concealed Pistol License course can be completed in one day. You do not need your own handgun to participate. My fees are reasonable and include continuing access to my expertise. I will hold the lecture portion of the instruction in your home, place of business, or in my classroom. Saturdays and Sundays are the usual days for classes, but I am willing to consider other options in order to fit your schedule. I am also available to develop and conduct non-NRA courses based on the knowledge, skills, and abilities I obtained as a Special Agent and undercover operative. I am the point of contact for the Educational Assistance Group, Inc, also doing business as michiganccwclass.com, an organization to assist individuals and groups in obtaining CPL / CCW through providing the State of Michigan mandated 8 hour training course. All of our instructors are Law Enforcement Officers with over 20 years of firearms training experience each. The only thing you need to bring is clothing appropriate for the weather outdoors. The shooting of handguns is required in this class. We will provide the handguns, ammunition (22 caliber pistols), and safety equipment. If you prefer to shoot your own weapon, you will need approximately 50 rounds of ammunition. We not only provide CPL / CCW Classes in Lansing, but we will hold a class throughout any part of Michigan. |

I am a retired law enforcement officer, having served 28 years as a Special Agent with the federal government. Two of my last assignments included the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and the United States Attorney’s Anti-Terrorism Advisory Committee. I am trained and certified by the United States Secret Service as a firearms instructor, and worked in that capacity for almost 10 years. I also received advanced rifle training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, and until my retirement served as my agency’s “sniper” in the State of Michigan. I also bear the title of United States Marine. In 2009 I became an NRA Certified Instructor of Basic Pistol, Home Firearm Safety, and Personal Protection in the Home. My Concealed Pistol License course can be completed in one day. You do not need your own handgun to participate. My fees are reasonable and include continuing access to my expertise. I will hold the lecture portion of the instruction in your home, place of business, or in my classroom. Saturdays and Sundays are the usual days for classes, but I am willing to consider other options in order to fit your schedule. I am also available to develop and conduct non-NRA courses based on the knowledge, skills, and abilities I obtained as a Special Agent and undercover operative.
